Research Interests

My career goal is to make a substantial contribution to and an impact on medicine through the use of mining and retrieval technologies to improve the understanding, diagnosis, and treatments of diseases and, consequently, the practice of evidence-based medicine.

My current interest lies in two main aspects of translational research: 1) bringing scientific evidence into clinical practice, and 2) using computational methods and informatics techniques to analyze large biomedical data sources for patterns and new knowledge. In addition, I have a great interest on making a substantial contribution on pediatrics research.

Clinical areas:
Pediatric Intensive Care and Pediatric Emergency Medicine
